It has been a busy fall! With tons of auditions, making plans for the next steps for Undercover: The Mary Shanley Story and featuring on a few forthcoming episodes of 2 different web series and a role in a short film. I also was lucky enough to reprise the role of “Adele” in a fantastic parody of “Hello” made by my friends at Barely Productions. Click here to check out the video and watch the hilarious Behind the Scenes video here. Billboard also listed this as one of the top 5 “Hello” Parodies, read the full article here. Next week I’ll be reading a role in a fabulous new play written by Morgan Gould as part of the Target Margin Institute for Collaborative Theater Making. And just for funsies, here is a picture of me on set as Adele.
I performed my solo show at Under St. Marks August 6, 7, 8 to sold out houses, high acclaim, and resounding positive feedback. Friends and colleagues seemed adamant that Mary’s story is one that needs to be told. We definitely plan to bring the show back for a longer run in NYC and also hopefully do some touring. A few pictures are below. To find out more about the production and the people involved, click here. Stay tuned for more photos and video clips coming soon! Photos by Isaiah Tanenbaum.
I had a great time shooting with Trajectory Films for their upcoming short Hide the Sausage. I play the fabulous Joe D’Onofrio’s parole officer, pictured below.
I also filmed a tiny but fun role in Future ’38 a feature length indie film starring Betty Gilpin and Nick Westrate. I also had the extreme pleasure of meeting and working with the legendary Madison Arnold, pictured below.
In late June I also starred rehearsing my one woman show, Undercover: The Mary Shanley Story– for more info about that please click here.
I achieved an acting milestone by having my first onscreen child whilst shooting Momsters for Discovery ID a few weeks ago. Check out my “daughter”, Adison Eisenberg’s, fierce list of credits here! Episode should air later this fall!
Got some awesome new headshots from Lev Gorn. Check out his awesome work here. This is one of my favorites from the session. Check my gallery page soon to see more!
I had such a great time on set for the fantastically hilarious show, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt in October. It is now streaming on Netflix and you can see me as “Vicki” in Episode 9. Click here to watch my scene. Here are some fun screenshots!
2015 was off with a bang ! In January, I had fun shooting the Hanging Tree Parody with The Key of Awesome. Click here to watch the hilarious video.
Wearing ridiculous matching wigs on set with Katie Hartman and Todd Womack.
I also had a great time on set with a film I have been part of since last year, a screwball comedy murder mystery called Nick and Nicky. It was an adventure participating in my first overnight shoot at the gorgeous St. Regis Hotel. Click here to watch the fabulous opening scene of the film.
Chilling at the King Cole Bar with Glen North ( who plays my BFF, Trevor in the film)
In February, I was asked to read the lead role in a gorgeous play called All the Better Angels written by the immensely talented Louise Flory. It was a pleasure and a challenge to be able to strech my acting muscles in this brilliant and complex piece. The reading was presented as part of the fantastic MTWorks Newborn Festival of new play readings.
Welp, 2014 was a banner year! I booked 3 co-star roles for major networks, 2 supporting roles in indie films, a spec commercial, a print ad, a few parody videos, a couple Shakespeare for Executive workshops at Columbia Business school, a pilot pitch video and a partridge in a pear tree. I was also excited to receive callbacks for 2 Shakespeare plays, including Beatrice in Much Ado (DREAM ROLE!) and to go on many more television and commercial auditions than ever before. I have also returned to voice lessons and have been singing again, so hoping for some musical theatre action in the near future. Roll on 2015, let’s keep this momentum going! Wishing you a magical season and hoping all your dreams come true next year.
